  • What does the NDIS cover?

    The NDIS covers a wide range of supports and services that are considered reasonable and necessary to help participants achieve their goals. This can include personal care, transport, therapeutic supports, workplace assistance, mobility equipment, home modifications and social and community participation. The exact supports provided will depend on your individual needs and goals, as outlined in your NDIS plan.

  • How is my NDIS plan created?

    Once you are accepted into the NDIS, you will meet with a planner or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to discuss your goals and needs. During this planning meeting, you will talk about your current supports, what you need to achieve your goals and any future aspirations you have. Based on this conversation, a tailored NDIS plan will be created that outlines the funding for the supports and services you need. You will receive a copy of your plan, and you can start accessing the funded supports as soon as it is approved.

  • How do I find NDIS service providers?

    You can find NDIS service providers through the NDIS website, which has a provider directory you can search by location and type of service. Local Area Coordinators (LACs) and support coordinators can also help you find and connect with providers.
